That is what i'm working on.
Billie and Cooper's beginning. Re-titled The Price of Passion. I'm polishing and rewriting the start to submit to Harlequin.
I wasn't going to do this until i'd finished writing the entire ms. But prompted by the New Voices comp when i polished the first chapter, i decided why not do the first 3?!
Now i'm just waiting on the list on the NV site to see if i'm one of the ones they are going to be following up before i submit :)

I am still batting around my idea. The book would be called "The Subservient Husband" but not fiction. More of a relationship guide to D/s marriage. There are several out there (Around Her Finger, Uniquely Rika) and I think I have a view to add that others would find helpful.

ReplyDeleteGood for you, keep on bashing out those chapters. Don't let your desire to be published by M&B cloud your overall dream. To get published by Carina as a newbie is a foot in the door, and will bode well for submitting to HM&B lines. I've heard on the pub goss line (my niece an ed) that it is a little less easy to sub direct to the States (hardcopy), but the chances of publication are greater through the NY office for other lines than that of London at the moment on Presents/modern/modern heat etc. I guess that's down to the contest and flood of e-mail subs that are swamping London eds.

I'm waiting too! You'd think after all this time I'd have learn patience but I think that I've actually gotten more impatient lol.
ReplyDeleteI got my computer back, yay and I wanted to let you know that I left an address to a facebook site on the Minx blog where writers are creating CP groups and interacting from NV. It might be worth posting, there could be someone who lives right around the corner from you (that happened in one instance and I know I'm jealous lol).
