Inspiration is all around us

Yeah, my son brought home a careers book from the library and it had some awesome jobs in there from Forensic Scientists, botanists, Entymologists and a stack load more.
Then i had an idea with the Entymologist career, that snowballed into a fullon outline of characters conflicts and their life aspirations - i love how tiny things can create the best ideas! I know i'll work on this idea as soon as i have finished my current WIPs!

Have you had any great inspiration lately? Was it from something tiny or huge?

The Arrival, only 99c

Yeah i'm promoting my friends book for two reasons:
1. It's a really great story!
and 2. I want to win the chocolate from her competition!

Cat, Kassie, Sian and Loi are anything but damsels in distress.  Fed up with a lack of decent male specimens they cast a love spell in the hopes of finding their soul-mates. And inadvertently land themselves on another planet. Oops.

The Arrival, follows the girls' adventures as they stumble through a foreign and often hostile world where humans are NOT at the top of the food chain. Friendships are forged and love teeters on the horizon while the threat of civil war looms thanks to the girls' very unexpected 'gifts'.  Will the girls master these gifts in time to survive a war in which, not only are they the ultimate weapons, but also the ultimate prize.

Here Comes the Bride

My daughter is fascinated with Weddings at the moment, and of course Princesses.
This morning we watched my wedding dvd and oh! the memories :)
Then of course we had to pull out dress and have a try on - it's too big, but nothing a little altering couldn't fix! I plan on wearing it for my 30th. I'm going to have a theme party.

My dress is made in empire style, much the same as the dresses in Pride and Prejudice.
Our wedding was 6 years ago, and very casual. We got married in my parents backyard, with all our friends taking photos in lieu of a photographer. It was lovely!
Listening to our vows (which we wrote ourselves!) was wonderful and funny. We have changed so much but are still very much in love.
I really do have my Happily Ever After - of course with all the bumps and bruises and kisses that go along with it!

My daughter has a dress up wedding dress, i have no idea where my mother in law got it from - it's too short to fit her tall frame!

What do you remember about your wedding?

Writing Tip: Write a little every day

Yep, even a sentence. That way you are getting some words down, practicing your craft every day.
If you are a serious writer - and i bet you are! - writing something every day will help you develop better as a writer, not to mention getting your word count up, however slowly it may be!

Do you write a little every day?
